Hello Travel Lovers!

I’m back from three incredible weeks in Bali — a true Eat, Pray, Love & Heal experience. This destination has been calling my name for years, and it was everything I hoped for: soulful, spiritual, beautiful and deeply welcoming.

Most of my trip was solo, but I also joined a G Adventures Wellness Bali with an inspiring group of women from around the world. We practiced yoga and meditation daily (acro yoga was epic!), learned about Balinese Hindu traditions, visited holy temples, and even took part in a water purification ceremony with a Balinese healer. I was incredibly lucky to be there during Galungan, one of Bali’s most sacred Hindu holidays marking the victory of good (Dharma) over evil (Adharma) — an unforgettable and heart-opening experience.

As a first-time solo female traveler to Asia, I always felt safe, respected, and beyond welcomed by the Balinese people. Their kindness, spirituality, and generosity left such an impact on me that I’m already planning to return — hopefully for Yoga Teacher Training next year!

Here is a look into the fantastic places I visited and stayed at.

🌿 Ubud – Rice Fields, Yoga & Sacred Culture

Stayed at Yangloni Kajane, a peaceful four-star retreat surrounded by rice fields, with a free shuttle into town. Ubud is the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali. Think lush rice terraces, jungle views, yoga everywhere, the Sacred Monkey Forest, and the iconic Bali Swing (overlooking the Tegallalang Rice Terraces). I also visited an ethical elephant sanctuary and felt incredibly connected to Bali’s nature and energy.

🌊 Northwest Bali – Pemuteran & Menjangan Island Snorkeling

Pemuteran, a quiet coastal region in Northwest Bali, is known for its calm beaches, reef conservation, and peaceful local atmosphere. I stayed at the rustic beachfront Taman Sari Bali (open-air bathrooms = wild but unforgettable!). Snorkeled Menjangan Island, famous for vibrant reefs and wild deer.

💆‍♀️ Nusa Dua – Relaxation, Luxury & Reiki

I stayed at Sadara Resort and had a powerful session with one of Bali’s most well-known Reiki Masters I Made Warmana, one of the most meaningful parts of my trip.

🏝️ Lembongan Island – Turquoise Water, White Sand & Laid-back Island Life

I took a quick 30-minute ferry to Nusa Lembongan, one of the highlights of my entire trip. This island offers: white-sand beaches, Turquoise water, Seaweed farming views, The scenic Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan & Natural marvels like Dream Beach, Devil’s Tear, and stunning sunsets.

I stayed at the new El Campo Mushroom boutique hotel near dreamy Mushroom Bay Beach.

🧿 Uluwatu – Cliffs, Surf, Stunning Beaches & Sunset Magic

Uluwatu, where turquoise water & white sand meets dramatic cliffs, hidden caves, and world-class surf. I visited Uluwatu Temple at sunset to watch the iconic Kecak Fire Dance— followed by dreamy cliffside dinners with ocean views that felt unreal.

Where I stayed:

The Room Padang Padang — a lovely boutique stay steps from Padang Padang Beach and the main strip (pack earplugs, it’s lively at night).

The Dara Boutique Resort — calm, design-forward, and tucked into the jungle for a quieter escape but only a few minutes scooter ride to the main road.
